AHAVA Lunch Program
Chair:   Lorraine Eras, Orna Green and Dalia Sherman
Description:  

AHAVA Lunch program provides our children healthy choices from a variety of options – along with the option of having seconds!

  • We need many volunteers to serve lunch.
  • Grandparents and other relatives are welcome to help.
  • Organize and coordinate.
  • Serve lunch – it is your choice weekly/bi-weekly/monthly.
  • See your children at lunch time.

Book Fair

Description:  

The Schechter Book Fair is one of the major fundraisers of the year and timely for purchasing your Hanukkah gifts.

  • Assist your child’s class in choosing books.
  • Help prepare for book fair.
  • Serve as cashiers.
  • Help with set up of the fair.
  • Help with breakdown of the fair.
 
Class Parent

Description:  

Class Parents are an integral part of every classroom

  • Fostering communication among our Schechter families.
  • Serving as a liaison between parents and teachers.
  • Helping with special classroom activities.

Humash Ceremony - 2nd Grade
Chair:   Sarah Monchar-McGuire and Sharon Litwin-Hoberman
Description:  

A special presentation and celebration as each Second Grader receives a personally inscribed Humash.

  • Assist the teachers to plan/coordinate the event
  • Help set up and decorate the gym
  • Organize and set up the food
 
Lulav and Etrog
Chair:   Debbie Advocate
Description:  

Schechter families are able to purchase Lulav & Etrog sets for Sukkot. Help deliver the sets to classrooms.
