There are many wonderful organizations that provide education for parents, teachers and the community on topics that allign with the Parent Academy Mission. Please check this site often for a list of local programs and resources.

Hills Valley Coalition: Website

Their mission is to educate and inform the community-at-large about how to promote a healthy, safe, substance and stigma-free environment that encourages the development of a positive lifestyle for our youth and reduces at-risk teen behavior.

The organization was established 17 years ago with the school districts’ partnership with law enforcement, municipal leaders and residents to unify our prevention efforts and community resources in Hillsdale, River Vale, Montvale, and Woodcliff Lake.

Alumni In Recovery (AIR): Website

Their mission is to provide a safe and reliable program while providing awareness, hope, and resources for our local communities. We aim to end the stigma surrounding the disease of addiction by sharing our stories with students and their parents at local middle and high schools. They volunteer their time to speak openly about their struggles with addiction and how they overcame them.

P(AIR)ENT Program:

The  parent program members shed light on how this epidemic has affected their own families.  Through their personal stories of loss of their children to the disease of addiction, these parents can provide a forum whereby other parents can be informed.  Parents share their own experience of signs of addiction; steps taken to intervene; and resources available - all in an effort to raise awareness in our community to the reality of addiction deaths (As per Alumni In Recovery parent Guidelines).
