The Montvale Educational Foundation (MEF) is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit community-based organization that strives to enhance educational excellence in the Montvale public schools.

How does the MEF work?
MEF is a joint effort between parents, community members, and local business leaders. Its mission is to fulfill grants submitted by elementary and middle-school faculty, students and parents.
Funding for grants comes from individuals, corporations, foundations, and well-targeted fundraising activities.
Areas of Focus:
Scholastic Enrichment. Promote innovative learning opportunities and techniques in critical thinking, communications, mathematics, and science.
Technology and Learning. Support projects and programs that promote the usage of the latest teaching and learning technologies.
Related Arts Education. Encourage interactive and pilot programs in the fine and performing arts.
Professional Development. Assist faculty and staff in the their pursuit of professional development.

Established in 1994, the MEF seeks to strengthen community participation in school programs by providing the added
resources needed to allow the children of Montvale to reach their full potential.
